EIRPC asks for Employees to Complete Housing Survey this month
The Eastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (EIRPC) is comprised of Fayette, Randolph, Rush, Union, and Wayne Counties. EIRPC has embarked on a detailed study of the housing needs in Eastern Indiana with the assistance of Purdue University’s Center for Regional Development. As a primary part of the Region’s Strategic Plan for Economic Development, EIRPC is working to “Promote Talent Attraction and Retention through the Enhancement of Quality of Place by improving housing options.” In other words, we want to make sure we have housing available that meets the needs of our current and future workforce.
During the month of March, an electronic survey instrument will be available to record responses from area residents and employees. That link is provided below.
We ask leaders of businesses and other organizations to encourage and promote participation in the survey by sharing it with your employees as well as by helping us disseminate the survey as widely as possible. EIRPC hopes surveys can be completed by March 31st.
For organizations that have more than 100 employees, a specific report will be available for your organization.
Jeff Plasterer was quoted as saying, “…for local governments in the region to make good decisions concerning housing policy, they need your help with a good response rate to this survey.”
Please complete the survey yourself and encourage as many others as possible to participate.
The next regional meeting will be held:
Thursday, October 19, 2017
11:30am – 1:00pm
County Administration Building in Wayne County
401 E Main St
Richmond, IN 47374
